This Is How We Brew It: 6 Halloween Coffee Recipes

With Halloween just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to experiment with fun celebratory recipes. Since coffee is the most important part of the day for many of us, it can be the ideal candidate for a spooky edit. If you love Halloween, a good brew (witchy pun intended), and packing a healthy yet delicious punch, you’ll want to bookmark this post! Scroll on for our favorite Halloween coffee recipes.

#1 Collagen-Packed Pumpkin Foam Cold Brew

We’re going to start with a fall classic that can certainly take on a spooky spin! Whether you purchase pre-made cold brew or make your own, it serves as a powerful energizer. Delicious even without sweet additions, cold brew is often considered a cleaner, healthier coffee choice.

In our Halloween coffee recipes edition, we’ve included instructions for an easy, at-home pumpkin cold foam and a collagen boost. Plus, we think Halloween sprinkles would display easily atop that thick foam!

  • 1 cup of cold brew of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 serving of Collagen+
  • Halloween sprinkles

Step One: Make and pour your cold brew.

Step Two: Using a frother, mix together the pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, whipping cream, and Collagen+.

Step Three: Pour the foam into your cold brew, and garnish with Halloween sprinkles!

#2 Monstrous Maple Coffee Shake

If you are one of those people who can’t get enough of maple everything, this one is going to have you salivating. While it might not be an everyday go-to because it is a heavy, milkshake-style treat, this is a celebratory coffee fit for Halloween.

  • 2 cups of maple-flavored ice cream
  • 1 cup of freshly brewed coffee
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 1 serving of Collagen+
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Whipped cream for topping

Step One: Blend everything except for the whipped cream together.

Step Two: Serve with the whipped cream on top!

#3 Warm Ghostly Latte

Admittedly, this is not our most inventive of Halloween coffee recipes. It’s essentially just a latte. That said, the spooky part is the art! While latte art might seem intimidating, it can actually be easier than you’d think. This is especially true if you start with a cute ghost! Since the classic motif is basically just a blob with eyes and maybe a little “O” mouth, it proves an ideal choice for latte art beginners. On top of this fun visual addition, the inclusion of our PlantYourDay protein powder makes this a nutritional win with a mocha latte flavor.

  • 2 espresso shots
  • 4 ounces of the milk of your choice
  • 1 scoop of PlantYourDay

Step One: Brew your espresso shots.

Step Two: Mix PlantYourDay into the espresso.

Step Three: Steam the milk in a small pitcher or a measuring cup with a spout.

Step Four: Carefully begin pouring the milk into the espresso, starting near the top of the cup and moving downwards as the milk forms a wide enough shape to be a ghost.

Step Five: Using a toothpick or similar tool, poke small holes for eyes and a larger one for a mouth into your ghost!

Step Six: Take pictures, because you simply must show off your first latte art, and enjoy!

#4 Spellbinding Apple Cider Latte

Why is this one spellbinding? Because as Halloween coffee recipes go, this might be the most wellness-boosting of the bunch thanks to a magical ingredient combo: honey and collagen.

We’ve discussed the benefits of collagen at length, but did you know honey is a powerhouse too? According to the National Institutes of Health, “Honey has a potential therapeutic role in the treatment of disease by phytochemical, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties.”

  • 1 cup of coffee
  • ½ cup of warm apple cider
  • ½ cup of the milk of your choice
  • 1 serving of Collagen+
  • Whipped cream
  • Honey

Step One: Mix together the coffee, warm apple cider, milk, and Collagen+, using a frother if needed.

Step Two: Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of honey.

#5 Sinfully Good Candy Bar Concoction

This is probably the most decadent of these Halloween coffee recipes, but it’s worth it! Alternatively, if you wanted to make this one a bit healthier, you could swap the candy bar for our PlantYourDay chocolate protein powder. Or, if you’re feeling playful, maybe combine them and see how it tastes!

  • 1 bar of your favorite Halloween candy or 2 scoops of PlantYourDay
  • 1 teaspoon of butter
  • 1 shot of espresso
  • 1 cup of the milk of your choice

Step One: Melt the candy bar and butter together in a bowl. If you’re using PlantYourDay instead, mix that into the melted butter.

Step Two: Brew your espresso shot.

Step Three: Combine espresso with the butter-chocolate mixture.

Step Four: Steam the milk and pour it into your coffee.

#6 Vampire Layered Iced Coffee

If the fanged side of Halloween is your jam, this is your coffee recipe! Once you mix this one together, it won’t have the same effect. But upon first layering it, the visual is stunning and totally photo-worthy! And it tastes delicious in both forms.

  • ½ cup of espresso
  • 2 pumps of chocolate syrup
  • 1 scoop of PlantYourDay
  • 1 cup of milk
  • ½ cup of ice
  • 2 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry puree (purchase or blend 2 cups of muddled strawberries with ¼ cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons lemon juice until smooth)

Step One: Brew your espresso.

Step Two: Mix the espresso, chocolate syrup, and PlantYourDay together at the bottom of a glass.

Step Three: Blend the milk, ice, vanilla bean ice cream, and vanilla extract until it has a thick milkshake consistency.

Step Four: Slowly pour the vanilla mixture on top of the espresso mixture.

Step Five: Top with the strawberry puree.
